Ask yourself are you too busy for God? Do you find yourself distracted by the daily drama of life? Did you recognize the Check Spirit light in your heart that was blinking?
For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
(Philippians 3:3)
Since the beginning of the Christian faith the Body of Christ has constructed traditional manner in which to spend time with God. However, we have lost concept that we are the Inn of the Holy Spirit the precious temple of the Holy Spirit. The bible states; “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body”
(1 Corinthians 16:19-20). I want to take time to focus on some of the words utilized in this scripture. First, Paul ask the question Do You not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit? Many of us are not conscious of the fact that we are a walking, living and breathing House of God. This is where God resides. The bible talks about God who sits on the sit of mercy. Well today that seat of mercy is in our hearts. This is where God desires for us to commune with Him daily and often. Yet, many of us are so distracted throughout our day that we forget that we are walking around with God within us. Paul further explains that the Spirit is IN YOU and it is a gift from God. However, we lack the discipline to focus, seek and spend time within ourselves and commune with the Spirit daily. I find this to be disturbing. When Mary was going into labor with the Lord Jesus she struggled to find a place suitable to give birth to the greatest King. In fact, there was no room at the inn. Instead she had to birth Him in a stable. Today many of us are placing our Lord and Savior in the stable of our lives to collect the waste of our lives only to call out to Him when we are in need. Is God in the stable of your life? Is there room in the Inn of your heart for the constant communication with the Lord. Have you checked it into the Inn lately? We need to spend some quality time with God. The time we spend with God should include a time of devotion, prayer and reading the Word. It is important for us as believers to check into the Inn of our Spirit. The Holy Spirit resides within ourselves. Understanding that you have received from God a gift which is the ability to speak, walk and worship within daily. God is waiting for you in the temple. You have been designed to host. It is time for you to make room in Inn with the Holy Spirit. So ask yourself is there Room in Inn?
