Job Description
Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management
Marygrove College invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management (VPSAEM). The VPSAEM serves as the chief student affairs and enrollment management officer of the College and is a member of the senior administration, reporting directly to the President. The VPSAEM provides leadership in recruitment, retention, co-curricular programs as well as enrollment-related administrative services, overseeing all admissions, enrollment services, and student affairs departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Marygrove College is committed to achieving a staff and faculty that is reflective of its diverse student body. As such, we welcome and encourage applications from members of communities traditionally underrepresented in higher education. The ideal candidate should have an earned doctorate and at least five years of increasing leadership responsibilities in enrollment management and/or student affairs. Other desired characteristics include strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience with and awareness of student development theory and student affairs administration, experience with and awareness of best practices related to student retention and recruitment strategies, including an understanding of database management techniques and the strategic uses of financial aid in enrollment management, experience working with first-generation college students and students from communities traditionally-underrepresented in higher education, and an understanding of and commitment to the Marygrove College mission and its urban leadership vision.
