Associate Director of US New Business
The Opportunity:

Position Summary -
Support the development and delivery of world class new business pitches and presentations for UM’s domestic business development efforts

Responsibilities/Duties -
•Work closely with the US Director to manage and run new business development projects, including day-to-day oversight, creating/overseeing production timelines, coordinating resources and partners, and manage executional details of all domestic pitches
•Interact with account leads at other partner agencies, when appropriate, to ensure intra-company communication, expand relationships and leverage new client/business opportunities
•Proactively work with other members of the UM team to identify new business opportunities, craft and write new-business proposals and scope of work documents
•Assist department leadership to prepare for new-business pitches and content proposals
•Help coordinate deadlines, develop and enforce scalable business processes
•Work with/stand in for domestic and global Directors, as needed, on growth strategy, creative brainstorming, client meetings, content creation

Qualifications & Requirements
About You -
We are looking for all applicants to possess the following attributes:
•Strong understanding of the marketing/communications/media sphere with extensive understanding of all aspects of the media process
•Self-less brand promoter – possess the ability to liaise with other company functions within IPG (our parent company) to aid business and organizational development
•Possesses well honed project management skills – to ensure delivery of projects on time, on schedule and on budget
•Display strong leadership skills that will motivate staff and create a positive and productive work environment (working with the team to maintain morale while splitting shifts to cover increases in workload and requirements of deliverables)
•Has exceptional communication skills both oral and written and is a fearless public speaker
•Self driven, results oriented with a positive and creative outlook
•Clear focus on innovation, high quality and business profit
•A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance
•Mature, credible and comfortable in dealing with senior executives
•Empathetic communicator, able to see things from the other person’s point of view/effectively able to motivate others during challenging situations.
•Proven ability to perform in a fast paced environment, under pressure and tight deadlines
•Proven creativity and ability to come up with new, innovating thinking and ideas
•Posses a keen eye for design, is able to drive design development and give feedback to Creatives that gets desired outcome
•Must be able to see and manage big picture as well as minute details

Your Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
•10 years of industry-related experience (the ideal candidate will possess background including experience at a creative advertising agency or in a creative environment both in account and new business functions)
•Experience in multiple business categories preferred
•You must have exceptional writing skills
